Many organisations proudly proclaim their culture and values – but do they genuinely reflect the DNA of the organisation? Are they underpinned by a reality that your people would recognise or have they been created by the marketing team to impress customers?
Too often organisational values are developed as things you think your customers want to hear. The problem is when customers meet your people and discover they don’t operate that way. Equally new people will often join your business on the promise that your values are a truthful reflection of your culture. If they turn up and find that’s not true it often leads to a lack of engagement and eventually high turnover.

Culture and Values Course Overview
In this culture and values training session we will use the Chiumento Culture Matrix to explore what performance really means in your business and how the drive to achieve outputs (like sales and production targets) is balanced with the need to “do the right thing”.
If you have a set of business values in place already, we’ll help you explore what behaviours underpin each of them. What do you expect to see in the workplace if someone is living the values? And facilitate a vital debate: do you as a leadership team act as exemplars of those behaviours?
If you are just starting out on defining your culture, we can help delegates explore what your organisation really stands for. Its important not to have too many values – we recommend no more than 4-6 – otherwise your team will struggle to remember, or see the difference between, them. While one or two might be aspirational the vast majority must speak to the existing DNA of the business. Your team needs to look at your organisational values and agree that’s the way things are done around here.
The organisational culture and values workshop will either give you confirmation that your organisational values are the right ones – or the platform to build a new or modified set that really defines your business.
Our culture and values training sessions can be run wherever is most suitable for you and your team, whether that is onsite, at an external venue or hosted as a remote online session. The flexibility is there to fit it around you and your needs.
Our organisational culture and values training can be run in one of three ways. As a half or full-day standalone session, combined with our other courses to create a full management training programme or as a short, condensed 2-hour speaker session.

At the end of this odule, leaders will be able to define their organisational culture and values and convert those into clear behaviours.
